Hypnosis vs mind control
I am often asked the question around hypnosis vs mind control and the answer is quite clear..
Hypnotherapy is not mind control, it’s implanting positive suggestions to overwrite the negative thinking patterns you have learnt that lead to stress to anxiety to gut issues and full circle to impacting back on our mental health.
The hypnotic state just makes you more receptive to the psychotherapy, hence hypnotherapy.
A trance state (highly focused learning state) enables your mind to accept the new healthy outlook instead of resisting so it can stay in the comfort zone of habit.
Our mind finds comfort in habits (the same old same old) and will resist change even if the habit is causing us illness or premature death. That’s why we find it so hard to break addictions to substances and addiction to our emotions, such as in anxiety disorders leading to avoidance behaviours.
Want proof?
When you shower, observe which part of your body you start to wash first. Also, when you brush your teeth, take notice of which tooth do you start on first. Then, when you brush your hair, what side do you start on first.
Hypnosis is not mind control
The neuro-circuitry that is being used has been strengthened and enforced by repetition over many years and will not change without an intervention.
This is what I do as a clinical hypnotherapist and mindfulness teacher – I assist, change and support a more efficient transition toward the healthy life that my clients choose to lead.
Yes, leading a life of reduced stress is a health choice you are allowed to make!
Making the change can reduce the amount of stress chemicals in your system that contribute to poor gut health, it can improve cardiovascular and immune system health.
Staying on the rigid path of habit can just amplify the pain and destruction to your mental and physical health.
I’ve assisted many people that have made the decision to change their habits. Whether that’s stopping smoking, losing weight, anxiety and stress management, or overcoming fear and phobias… I can help you too.
Make an appointment to take the first step toward changing your ingrained habits so that you can create the life you want. Or email me to find out whether hypnotherapy would be beneficial to you and what you are experiencing.
